Bubble Tire Balancer - Tips for First Time Use

The using of bubble tire balancer is a staple in the car industry and although not as advanced as the fresh spin of balancers popular these days, it is still a very effective way to accurately check aged and fresh installation of tires. As long as the tire was repaired using a new rubber piece to set up on the rim of the wheel, there are some basic and primer steps to be able for you to set up for that vehicle.

To learn how to do this the first time, you would need to have access to the tire and rim mounted, a compressed air, a tool for tire inflation, and also a gauge to check the pressure of air and a tool for weight check of the tires and of course your bubble balancer for your tires and various sizes and weights of tires.

First, pump up the tire pressure to the appropriate level by increasing the air by using the tool for inflation of air. You must test the pressure in the tire for the correct inflation and the tire should have the exact and precise balance when it is inflated. Next, you have to eliminate the old weights for the wheel being used at the moment for the metal rim wheel. The previous weights will interact with the accurate balance. Remember to secure the balancer for the wheel into a set position to prevent damaged to the mechanism used for balance by putting a wheel over the floating hub.

After this, you have to put the tire and wheel over a bubble tire balancer. The street side or the outer part for that wheel must face upwards. Then unlock the bubble tire equilibrium manager and permit your tire and also the hub floating be in a set position, meaning, when the bubble tire balancer is unlocked the first time, the hub which is floating will seek a position that is level and should move around freely before stopping in an fixed analysis state.

You have to monitor the location that your air bubble is in. To do this you have to locate the hub which is floating center bubble window where a bulls-eye double reader is. This bulls eye looks like two concentric rings or circles, one on the inside of the other. So your tire will be leveled or will be balanced when it is air bubbled to stuck center inside the inner circle.

Look at the unleveled or high side of the bubble; notice the opposite side and this is where you will insert a small weight. Make sure to put the weights one at a time minding the location of the metal rim. You should keep the weights alongside the rim. Take note of the weight increments you are using, using increasing higher increments until your bubble is in a centered position for the bulls-eye. You can then secure the bubble tire balancer, and use a hammer to keep the weights for the wheel on the elevated rim by using a tool for mounting

The next step is unlocking the bubble tire balancer while checking the level whenever your bubble lies in the bulls-eye center window where you can see the bubble. Lastly you have to keep the tire balancer bubble locked and remove your balanced tire before mounting it into the vehicle.

Using the bubble tire balancer is very easy once you complete these steps when you do it the first time, and your next time will be a cinch.
